Your Insights tab includes valuable data that can help improve your company's decision-making and efficiency. This tab automatically updates with changes made in your requests inbox, offering a clear view of your business operations. Therefore, it is important to keep your requests inbox up-to-date to ensure an accurate analysis of your business performance and making informed decisions.
How to keep your Insights tab updated
The Insights will only work well if you make sure some of your key administrative fields are correctly updated. The two most important once are adding the Lead Source and making sure quotes are correctly administrated as Booked or Not Booked.
Track Lead Sources:
Identify where your requests are coming from, like SafariBookings or other marketing platforms. This allows you to understand which channels attract the most clients.
- Go to the Requests tab
- Click on a specific request within any status category
- Click on 'Edit' for source
- Select or type in the source of that request (e.g., Website)
Update The Booking Status of Your Quotes:
It's essential to keep your quotes updated based on the client's actual decision for each request. (e.g., mark a quote as booked/not booked accordingly.)
- Go to the Requests tab
- Click on the 'Open' status category
- Mark your requests as 'Booked' if your clients have confirmed or mark them as 'Not Booked' if they have declined or add any other reason why they did not book.
- Make sure to add the correct start date and booking value for correct data Insights.
Understanding the Insights tab
The insights tab includes 9 useful information boxes you can use for your analysis, which you can also filter based on a time period or user within your SafariOffice account.
Filtering
Filter the Insights tab: You can filter on the top right of your Insights tab to analyze specific data more effectively, allowing for a more targeted and efficient assessment of your performance metrics.

Filter by user: if you have more than 1 user in your account, you can filter the insights based on who handles the quotes

Filter by time period: you can filter insights based on a specific year, month, or time period (last 365 days, Last 90 days, Last 30 days, All time)
Metrics
Explanation for each metric: If you hover over each question mark in the Insights tab, you can get explanations for each metric. Here’s a brief on what each box represents:
- Received Requests: Tracks all new requests entered in the system during the selected period
- Requests per Source: Shows requests by source during the selected period. Unspecified sources are marked as unknown
- Sent Quotes: Counts all quotes sent through the system in the selected period
- Average Days to Booking: Measures the time from receiving a request to its booking status
- Average Quote Value: Displays the average value of all sent quotes, shown separately for different currencies
- Confirmed Bookings: Totals all requests marked as booked within the selected time frame
- Quote Conversion to Booking: The percentage of quoted requests that turn into bookings
- Average Booking Value: The average value of bookings, shown separately for each currency
