When creating a new request in SafariOffice, you will be asked to set up the tour details for this request. You can set up the tour details in two ways: manually type in the tour details for a new itinerary or choose a pre-created template.
Without Template: Setting up your tour details manually
This section will explain how you can simply fill in your tour details step-by-step. Please note that any field is not mandatory, but we highly recommend filling in as much as possible as this will help the system generate a nicer quote.
1. Tour Title: Here you can customize the title of your itinerary. A great catchy title (suggestion: 5-10 words) is recommended to attract your client's attention.
2. Tour Type: You can simply select the type of tour you will offer directly from the drop-down list (e.g., Group, Private, Self-Drive).
- Private: A private tour is organized exclusively for a client and won't be shared with others. However, wildlife viewing activities at private camps/lodges are run by the lodges/camps and could be shared.
- Group: A group tour is organized such that clients will join a group of other travelers. Clients will get a private room or tent, but the vehicle and activities will be shared with others.
- Self-Drive: A self-guided tour means you will arrange the itinerary and some amenities (such as accommodation) but the clients are ultimately responsible for getting from point A to point B each day.
You are not limited to this drop-down list. Please note that you are able to customize the Tour Type according to your needs. For example, if you want to provide an overland truck safari, simply type in 'Overland Truck Safari' in the empty field and 'click enter' or 'click the green +'.
3. Tour Length: Here you can select the number of days and nights your itinerary consists of from the list. You are also able to customize this field if you do not see your desired tour length in the drop-down list.
4. Countries visited: Here you can select the countries where your itinerary will take place by marking the checkbox(es) accordingly. Based on the countries you selected, SafariOffice will provide you with the correct content for your quotes and templates.

5. Start Destination and End Destination: Here you can fill in the start and end destination of your itinerary. Please list only one city per text field. You are also able to customize this field if you do not see your desired destination from the auto-suggested destinations.
6. Travel Date: Here you can select the start date of the travel that your clients have indicated by choosing the corresponding date on the calendar.
If your clients do not know the exact date yet, you can also indicate an estimated time period by typing into the field 'Or a flexible period', and press 'Save'.
> TIPS: After you send a quote for this request, you can save the quote as a template and re-use this template for another request. In this case, you do not need to fill in the Tour Details again for other clients' requests for this same itinerary.
With Template: Using a pre-created template for the tour details
You also have the option to select a pre-created template from your template library when you are setting up the tour details of a request. Please note that the template has to be already created and can be found in the 'Templates' tab.
1. After you select your template, all the necessary fields will be automatically filled in based on the tour details from the selected template.
2. Now you only need to fill in the travel date of your client(s), which you can read about in step 6 of the previous section of this article.
