How to add optional items to your quote

Adding optional items that you offer to your quote allows your clients to have the flexibility to choose from additional choices to include in their tour. This article guides you through the process of including optional items such as airport transportation, special meal packages, or additional activities.

There are two ways of adding optional items to your quote.

1. An option that relates to the whole tour or not to a specific activity.
For example: An extra sleeping bag, a GoPro camera rental or a vehicle upgrade

2. An optional activity. This is an activity shown in the itinerary as an option, which can also have an optional price.  For example: A balloon flight, a walking safari, an airport transfer.

Adding optional Items for the whole tour 

Optional items will appear on the pricing page of your quote, allowing your clients to get a clear overview of all the optional offerings you provide. They can easily view these and decide which additional item(s) they would like to include in their tour.

You can add optional items by following these steps:

1. Open the quote or template you are working on

2. Go to 'Step 2. Pricing' within the builder.

3. Scroll down to the 'Options' section. This is where you can add and manage optional items
4. Click on Add Option to add a new item
5. Enter the details of the optional item, such as the name, price, and booking options (e.g., Book with us before the trip). 

Adding optional activities 

The optional items will appear on the pricing page of your quote and also on the exact Day by Day page as an extra attention point in the quote. They can easily view these in their quote and decide which additional activities they would like to include in their tour on the Booking page. 

You can add optional items by following these steps:

1. Open the quote or template you are working on

2. Go to 'Step 1. Day by Day' within the builder

3. Open the Activities section to edit
4. Fill in the optional activity and mark the Optional toggle
   
5. Go to 'Step 2. Pricing' within the builder
6. Scroll down to the 'Options' section. This is where you can manage your optional items
7. Enter the missing details of the optional activity, such as the price, and booking options (e.g., Book with us before the trip)

💡 TIP: Activity options don't always need to have a price. They could also be recommandations or free activities like a city exploration walk. The price is optional or you could state 0,00 too.
