While the SafariOffice activities database is large and we cover most common activities, there may be some situations in which you want to add your own, custom activity.
For example, you may want to add a specific, local activity that only happens at your destination. Chances are that we do not have it as one of our standard activities. This is where custom activities come in handy!
You have two options:
1. Adding a new (custom) activity while creating an itinerary
If you want to add your own activity, this is easily done on the day-by-day page.
1. Click on 'Edit' on the day you wish to add an extra activity, just like you normally would.
2. Then, start adding your new activity by clicking on 'Add new activity' in the bottom-left of this new pop-up window.
3. Now, instead of choosing an activity from the list, type your activity in the leftmost box. Add the activity using the green plus (+) or just enter. The new activity is now created and saved. If you add a destination this will also be saved as a combination.
Your activity is now saved! In the future, you can select it like you would any other activity.
2. Adding a custom activity directly to the Content Library
- Go to Your Content Library
- Go to the Activities tab
- Then click Add New Content at the right top of the table.
Here you can not only add the new activities but also add descriptions, images and video.
More on how to use the Library to add descriptions can be found here: How to add a custom description to Your Content Library
