The "Share Tours" Add-on allows you to share webpages of your tours. These links can be easily used across social media, newsletters, webpages, or email, providing a powerful tool to market your tours through SafariOffice.
Adding your Share Tours weblink to your website is an excellent way to guide visitors to different web pages of your tours. Whether it's through text, images, or buttons, it is easy to embed links and improve navigation. This guide will walk you through various ways to embed links on your website. Regardless of the site builder you’re using, whether it’s Wix or WordPress, you’ll get the idea of how to go about it.
Quick Links
Embedding Links in Text
- Select the Text: Highlight the text where you want to insert a link.
- Click "Link": A toolbar will appear above the text. Click on the chain icon (Link).
- Choose the tour link you want to display: Copy the URL.
- Paste the URL on your website.
- Apply: Click "Done" to save the link.
Tip:
- Keep your anchor text clear and relevant, such as “Read More”.
Embedding Links in Buttons
Buttons are great for creating visible and engaging calls to action. Here's how to add a link to a button on Wix/WordPress sites.
- Add a Button: In your editor, click on + (Add), then choose Button from the options.
- Edit Button Text: Change the button’s label (e.g., "4-Day Luxury Tour" or "Read More").
- Link the Button: Click Link in the button settings, then choose the tour you’d like to display. Copy URL and paste it on your website.
- Apply: Click "Done" to save the link.
Embedding Links in Images
Images can also serve as clickable links, directing visitors to your tour web pages.
- Add or Select an Image: In the editor, click + (Add), choose Image, and either upload a new image or select an existing one.
- Click "Link": After selecting the image, click on the "Link" button that appears in the image toolbar.
- Choose the tour you want to link and copy URL. Paste the Share Tour link.
- Apply: Click "Done" to activate the link.
Tip:
- Use high-quality images that represent the link’s destination to improve user experience.
Embedding Links in Menus
Menus are ideal for directing users to different sections of your site. Here’s how you can add links to your site’s navigation.
- Edit Your Menu: In the Wix or WordPress editor, click on your site's menu.
- Click "Manage Menu": This will open the menu manager where you can edit links.
- Add Menu Items: Click Add Link to include a new link. You can link to your tour templates using the Share Tour add-on.
- Save: After linking, click "Done" to update the menu.
Tip:
- Ensure your menu structure is simple and intuitive to help users find important pages quickly.
Embedding Links in Lightboxes
Lightboxes are pop-up windows that can be triggered by clicking a link or button. You can add links within these pop-ups to guide users further. (We can request Joris to add a safari promotion popup image somewhere here.)
- Add a Lightbox: In the Wix/WordPress editor, click + (Add), then choose Lightbox.
- Add Text or Buttons: Inside the lightbox, you can add text, images, or buttons just like you would on a regular page.
- Link Elements: Highlight the text or select the button/image, click the "Link" icon, and enter your desired Shared Tour URL.
- Save: Click "Done" to activate the links within the lightbox.
Tip:
- Use lightboxes sparingly to avoid overwhelming visitors. They are best for highlighting special promotions or announcements.
